Data Deletion Instructions
How to disconnect your accounts from YourCAO and have us delete what we received through them.
When a business hires YourCAO for social media posting or marketing reports, we connect to its Facebook Page, Instagram account, LinkedIn Page, Google Business Profile, or Google Analytics and Search Console. Here's how to end that access and have the data removed. What we collect and why is in our Privacy Policy.
Ask us to delete your data
Email hello@yourcao.com with the subject “Data deletion request.” Tell us the business name and which accounts to disconnect, or “all.” Send it from an email address we know belongs to the business, or tell us how to confirm the request is yours.
We stop using those accounts as soon as we get your email. Within 30 days we:
- Delete the access tokens the platforms gave us.
- Delete the account names and IDs, post records, and performance numbers we hold for those accounts.
- Email you to confirm it's done.
We keep only a note that we received and completed your request, and anything the law requires us to keep.
Remove our access yourself
You can also end our access on each platform at any time. That takes effect right away, but it doesn't delete what we already received, so email us as well if you want that removed.
Facebook and Instagram
- If you added us as a partner, remove YourCAO from the Partners list in your Meta business settings.
- If you gave us a role on your Facebook Page, remove it in the Page's access settings.
- If you signed in to our app with your own Facebook account, remove it under Settings & privacy, Settings, Business integrations.
- Remove the admin role you gave us on your LinkedIn Page.
- If you signed in to our app with LinkedIn, remove it under Settings, Data privacy, Permitted services.
- Remove us from your Business Profile's People and access list.
- Remove our reporting account from Google Analytics (Admin, Property access management) and Search Console (Settings, Users and permissions).
- If you signed in to our app with Google, remove it at myaccount.google.com/connections.
Posts already published
Deleting your data with us doesn't remove posts we already published on your accounts. Those belong to your business and stay up until you delete them on the platform.
